Chuck’s Racing Resume
1986-
Began auto crossing a Pontiac Fiero in SCCA’s G Stock.
1987- Began building and
auto crossing a 1983 Pontiac Trans Am in ESP
1988- Won the ESP
championship for the Atlanta Region
1989- Repeated as the
Atlanta Region champion, and won the SEDIV championship in ESP
1990-Same song, second
verse…Won them both again. Began running Time Trials in ESP.
Helped build and crew a SSGT Camaro, finishing 3rd
at the SCCA’s RunOffs at Road Atlanta.
1991- Won the Solo II
championships in ESP for the Atlanta Region, and SEDIV.
Finished 10th in the Solo II National championship.
In Time Trials, set a record at the Chimney Rock HillClimb,
and won the National Championship at Lowes Motor Speedway.
1992- Continued to
autocross the TransAm, built and raced a Datsun 260Z in ITS.
Won the Solo II championships for Atlanta and SEDIV again.
1993- Began construction
of a Mustang for SCCA’s American Sedan. Set track records at
Road Atlanta, Roebling Road, and Rockingham. Began
autocrossing a Corvette in Super Stock
1994- Won the ECR
championship for SEDIV in Asedan, and the SS championship in
the Corvette.
1995- Autocrossed a
Tri-Point Engineering RX-7 in SCCA’s F Prepared. Won the
Atlanta region, SEDIV, and finished 3rd at the Solo
II National Championships. Built and ran a Plymouth Neon in
SCCA National Racing, qualifying for the RunOffs in SSB. Won
the ECR championship in the Mustang again. |
1996- Promised wife to
slow down. Built a new Pontiac Formula for ESP, winning the
Atlanta region and SEDIV championships in ESP. Ran the Neon in
SCCA ProRacing’s Neon SuperCup, finishing 10th in
my first professional season.
1997-Decided to quit road
racing, sold the Neon, Corvette, and Formula, and bought 2
Legend cars. Finished 5th in the Atlanta Motor
Speedway series.
1998- Competed in the
Legend Car series Pro division. Finished 3rd for
the season.
2001- Began building a
Mazda Miata for the new Spec Miata class. Ran 4 races.
2002- Finished 7th
out of 55 in the SEDIV championship for SM.
2003- Finished 3rd
out of 47 in the SEDIV SM championship. Set track record at
Roebling Road.
2004- Continued to run SM.
Ran 2 races in SCCA Pro Racing’s MiataCup.
2005- Concentrated on
MiataCup, driving for BSI Racing.
2006- Built a Corvette for
ITO, a new class in SEDIV. Finished 3rd at the
ARRC, and 2nd in the ARRC Enduro.
2007- Continued to develop
the Corvette, and ran at the ARRC.
2008- Continuing to
compete in ITO in the Corvette. |
